This page covers details of a custom print job. A John custom print is a limited edition of 1 -- no other print will be made from the same data file, and any other prints made with the same program will have different numbers, positions, colors, ... of the various objects in the image. The price is $25 per square foot plus shipping. Unless otherwise agreed, the print will be made on semigloss photo paper, and the price given here is based on this.

Most John Art is developed to have a width 1.4-1.7 times the height. (But some images can be made quite wide and a few have widths around .65 times the height.) I can provide prints up to 44 inches in the short dimension. The minimum width is 19 inches and the minimum height is 13 inches (super B size).

STEP 1. The customer is to specify by EMAIL (johnart@frontiernet.net) the image on the site which is like the image wanted. For example for a sunflower picture "sunfl21_v10" is one choice. This label is actually a file name and specifies that the "sunfl21" program was used. The customer must also specify the height and width of the finished print, in inches. The EMAIL text might look like this:

"I would like to purchase a sunflower print like sunfl21_v10. I want it to be 24 inches high by 36 inches wide. Alice Jorgensen"

STEP 2. John will reply, stating whether he can produce the image desired, quoting a price, and giving approximate time needed. He will ask any necessary further questions. When all questions are resolved, we proceed to ...

STEP 3. With the task agreed, the customer will use the link "custom print payment" below to transmit $25 to John using a credit card (or a check or cash). This is the setup fee and is not refundable but is subtracted from the price of the finished print. You get a small photo-paper print of the artwork, which will be sent to you by snail mail. Look it over carefully to be sure that it's what you want. Color should be very close to the actual color, and the paper will be the same type as I normally use. (Colors on computer screens can differ somewhat from the finished print.)

STEP 4. If the small printed picture is satisfactory, send John an EMAIL saying "go ahead with the printing" and use the "custom print payment" link below below to transmit the purchase price (less the setup fee). Printing starts upon receipt of funds.

STEP 5. John makes the print. If you are in Apple Valley, Burnsville, Rosemount, Eagan, or Lakeville MN, John will deliver the print to you after establishing by EMAIL when you will be home to receive it. In other areas it is sent by UPS or other, and you will be asked to pay the shipping charge.
