There is a vertical progression between order and chaos. At the top there is order and "purity" -- black and white, straight lines. As the lines descend, they descend into chaos. The lines twist randomly about, while color gradually emerges from the white, taking the form of colored tetragons which swirl ever more madly as the eye moves down. As is so often the case, chaos is more colorful and appealing than order.
