This is inspired by the artist's youthful years in Colorado. My title is "the vista".

It is a clear day in spring or early summer. We stand upon the flat plains gazing up to the snow-capped peaks in the background. A clear stream flows out across the plains from the mountains, with riparian flowers blooming on both sides. It is before "settlement", and even before the appearance of humans (thought to be about 20,000 years ago). The mountains are covered with dark conifers and pale aspens. Serene, quiet.

This is an attempt to show "half a county" of area in a single image.

In the original file the flowers are all "resolved" almost to the base of the mountains.
